Happily ever after.

Everyone in this world loves to be loved, and the feelings are doubled when they are mutual. Sneha, 21 years old, fair and beautiful, remembers how she used to wait for February 14th, since she entered the teenage, for something romantic and special to happen.  But eventually nothing used to happen, and the day used to be either normal or really bad.
The kind of person she is, she always loves to imagine, to dream, to fascinate about everything that seems to be romantic. Every time she watched some romantic movie, she would imagine all the goody part to be happening with her, in her life. She imagined very often, how a guy would approach her, be around her, make her feel special, send gifts, stare from distance, leave short messages as a clue of his emotions and so on. She always had songs on her playlist that expressed how she used to feel. She remembers when she had her first crush and he said something really nice about her, she was listening to “Ishq hua” from Aaja Nachle.
Her idea of romance comes from the Bollywood romantic movies. She, from the time she can think off, had an idea of an ideal man as Raj from Diwale dulhaniya lejayenge and still believes that all that Bollywood has ever shown, can be at some point of time, if not completely but slightly true.
For her, everything has to be felt and done from heart, especially when it is about emotions. But eventually as she grew up, she understood that love wasn’t that easy to find. She dated a lot of guys, but none of them stayed with her for long. Bollywood was not working for her. Every time she thought maybe he is the one, that ‘one’ would break her heart and leave her alone to cry. She was convinced, that all the movies with which she has grown up were just escapism from the reality of this cruel world. In all this, only one friend of her, Kabir, stood with her, supported her when she was broken, wiped her tears, and made her smile.
Kabir, 22 years old, was a normal looking guy; he first saw Sneha when she joined St.Xavier College, Mumbai. He was in 2nd year and Sneha was a fresher. He approached her with an excuse of raging, and later on they both were friends and after a year, best friends. Nothing in Sneha’s life has been hidden from Kabir’s notice since they met. For him, Sneha was the prettiest woman he has ever come across; he liked her for everything she was. He remembers how everything stopped for a moment when he first saw her. But he was unable to judge his feelings. He knew that it wasn’t just friendship, but he never expressed because he didn’t wanted to lose her for any reason. So he hid his feelings for her.
Kabir knew that Sneha’s choices weren’t good for her, as she is very emotional, but Sneha being stubborn, never heard him. After a year, Kabir passed out and joined his dad’s business. He got busy in making money and Sneha was left all alone. Every night when Kabir checked his phone, he would find 50 missed calls from Sneha. He was frustrated that she never felt his feelings for her, never realised that may be all she ever wanted, was him. Four months passed by, again 14th February was round the corner, this time Sneha was not expecting anything at all, but she was just expecting to get back Kabir. She never felt this way for him. Thinking about him 24/7, was just giving her pain. Never in her life had she felt so strongly. It was different.
Finally the day of love, 14th February, was an hour away. Sneha, wasn’t expecting anything, was all hopeless. Suddenly the phone rings, she looks at the phone and is in amazement, it was Kabir. She was out of senses for few minutes, and then thought to pick up before he hangs.
Sneha: Finally you got time for me, haan!
Kabir: I have something to tell you.
Sneha: Yes, please!
Kabir: Please meet me tomorrow in Café OZ, sharp 8 at night, very important to discuss.
Sneha: Okay, as you say.
(The conversation lasted for 2 hours, talking about what and why happened, Kabir makes excuses for being away and Sneha trusts him.)
Sneha, being in habit of writing diary, wrote everything in the diary, her ideas of romance and dates and the phase when Kabir ignored her and so on.
Dressed up well in a beautiful red short dress, she (sneha) reaches to Café Oz at sharp 8pm. At once she was very scared as it was totally dark. Calling his name, she slowly takes small steps in Cafe. As she couldn't hear his voice in reply, she was just about to leave, when suddenly a song played at the background, “Dil ne tumko chun lia hai, tum bhi isko chuno na, khwab koi dekhta hai, tum bhi sapne buno na”. A spot light comes on her, and another on a guy wearing black tuxedo suit and when he turned Sneha was damn surprised, it was Kabir.
The whole Café was booked for her. Red roses on floor, just one table with a huge chocolate box and teddy, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, everything was exactly as Sneha has ever imagined and mentioned in her Diary.
Sneha: What is all this?
Kabir: I know everything you ever wanted, I know everything you ever wanted to feel, I know you, I feel you, I breath you, and I absolutely can love you like no one on this earth, but only if you want.
Sneha: How you know that I always planned my Valentine day to be this way?
Kabir: As I said, nothing in your heart has been ever hidden from me. Well, I know you write Diary, I read it. (Chuckles)
(Sneha was speechless)
Kabir: Come and sit. (He draws the chair for her)

All of a sudden, Kabir kneels down with, and says to Sneha “Sneha, since I have known you, I have never felt to know someone else. No one ever appeared as beautiful, as emotional, as stupid (with a chuckle) but as lovely as you. I would have asked you out for every possible birth I take, but as for now I would just like to ask you for this birth, would you be my soul-mate forever?”
Sneha is all aww-struck; she cannot believe that all that she ever dreamt of, imagined about, was being real. All these years, the Raj she was searching was right in front of her but she never noticed and now when she did, she didn’t want to let him go and said “Only if you promise that you will love me forever.”
Kabir: Do you doubt?
Sneha: I will love to be with you, for rest of my life.

Kabir takes out a beautiful ring out of his pocket and puts it on Sneha's index finger.

And this is how she believed again in all those Bollywood and fairy-tales, she ever heard or watched. She again believed that Bollywood love does happen. She finally got her Raj and Kabir got the love of his life.

And they both finally found love in eachother and lived happily ever after.
